Description

Come along to Plungar Village Hall for a relaxed and sociable festive wreath-making session.

Rather than paying £50–£60 for a commercial workshop, we’re keeping the ticket price to £35 by providing the essential materials and inviting everyone to bring foliage from their own garden. It’s a lovely opportunity to share greenery, ideas and creativity with friends and neighbours.

Your ticket includes:

  • A wreath ring, wire and moss

  • A selection of foliage

  • Some ribbon and festive embellishments

  • Nibbles and a glass of something festive, or tea and coffee

  • Friendly guidance to help you create your wreath

Please bring:

  • A good selection of freshly cut foliage from your garden

  • Gardening gloves

  • Secateurs or sturdy snippers

  • Any special decorations you would like to include

Good foliage choices include fir, spruce, pine, conifer, holly, ivy, eucalyptus, bay, rosemary and other sturdy evergreens. Seed heads, berries, pinecones and interesting twigs can also add colour and texture. If you have plenty, please bring a little extra to share.

You are also welcome to personalise your wreath with battery-operated fairy lights, favourite ribbon, family baubles or other decorations that mean something to you.

This is a friendly community session rather than a professional floristry workshop, but it will be led by an experienced wreath-maker who has attended many demonstrations and made numerous wreaths over the years. Beginners are very welcome, and help will be available throughout.

Come on your own or bring friends, enjoy some festive refreshments, or BYO and leave with a unique wreath ready to hang on your door.
